Tijuana, Mexico - April 30, 2025-In Hidalgo, birthplace of the charrería, an innovative concept that celebrates the cultural richness of Mexico is born: "Mundo Charro", this new entertainment destination is positioned as a must-see tourist destination for nationals and foreigners who want to learn about Mexican traditions in an immersive and technological way, in addition to enjoying an unprecedented offer in entertainment, gastronomy and tradition.

Located at kilometer 79 of the Mexico-Tulancingo highway, in the municipality of Singuilucan, Hidalgo, Mundo Charro will open its doors in the spring of 2026 and promises to offer 14 immersive experiences, eight sensory tours and four main shows to enjoy the traditions and culture of Mexico in six themed lands spread over 34 hectares.

A Unique Sensory and Cultural Experience

Mundo Charro is not only an entertainment destination, but a living celebration of Mexican identity. From equestrian shows to gastronomic experiences, visitors will be transported to the heart of Mexico in an environment designed to stimulate all the senses. Its main attractions include:

  • Fiesta Mexicana: A vibrant journey that recreates the celebration of a Pueblo Mágico with its colors, live music and traditional gastronomy, this land will feature artistic exhibits and world-class shows.
  • Herencia de México: It transports you to revolutionary Mexico, with characters dressed in period costumes, immersive experiences about history and charrería, will give the visitor a trip to nostalgia.
  • Tierra de la Gastronómica: Here visitors will find the ambiance of a Mexican market with all the colorfulness that goes with it. Here you can enjoy more than 25 centers of consumption, including restaurants, bars and tastings of Mexican distillates, pulque and wine, as well as take workshops on cheese, bread, cocoa, pre-Hispanic and mestizo cuisine.
  • El Rancho: Represents the evolution of the charrería with a large restaurant, stables and a "lienzo charro" where equestrian shows are held. A festive atmosphere with modern ranchera music.
  • Fantastic Land: This land is inspired by the tree of life, the Day of the Dead and traditional Mexican games. In these spaces designed for family entertainment and interaction with popular culture, young and old can recreate their favorite traditional toys and learn about them in an interactive way.

 

The multisensory experiences offered by Mundo Charros are unprecedented, integrating museums, exhibitions and workshops in a single space. With 14 immersive experiences based on themes representative of Mexican folklore, such as pre-Hispanic gastronomy, corn, Mexican bakery, cocoa and cheese, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the cultural diversity of the country and enjoy it with all their senses.

The gastronomic offer of Mundo Charro is a delight for lovers of Mexican cuisine. The park will have more than 25 consumption centers, including bars, kiosks, terraces, cafeterias, restaurants with equestrian shows, tastings (distillates, wine and pulque), a Culinary Institute of Traditional Mexican Food, a Pastry Production Center and a Production Center.

The park will have a luxury hotel ESPLENDOR byWYNDHAM, with 171 rooms and a future expansion to 500 rooms by 2028, consolidating itself as a world-class destination.

Economic and Social Impact: Boosting the Region

The project will generate 1,200 direct jobs and 2,500 indirect jobs, strengthening the local economy and promoting the development of supply chains for local agri-food and artisanal products. In its first year of operation, the project is expected to generate an economic spillover of 500million pesos, with a projection of up to 2 billion pesos per year during its maturity phase.

In addition, it is estimated that Mundo Charro will attract one million visitors a year, increasing tourism in Hidalgo by 26% and positioning it as an international benchmark for cultural and experiential tourism.

Strategic Location and Accessibility

Located on the Mexico-Tulancingo highway km 79, the park is a short distance from key cities such as Mexico City (96 km), Pachuca (40 km), Tulancingo (15 km) and Teotihuacan (70 km), and its infrastructure includes a bus terminal with direct access to the park, facilitating the arrival of national and international visitors.
