Tabasco carries the essence of cocoa
The aroma and flavor of cocoa, originally from Tabasco, will have a strong presence at the Tianguis Turístico 2025, where the Chocolate Route and its museum are being promoted as must-see tourist attractions.
Sergio Lopez Garcia, from the team of the Secretary of Tourism and Economic Development of Tabasco, shared with El Momento that the state is the homeland of cocoa and the cradle of chocolate, which has a long history, because through this fruit, the world and its flavors were transformed.
"This flavor that everyone knows can be immersed in a unique way in the Cacao Route, which offers gastronomy, history and culture. There we focus on the process with visits to cocoa farms that show the public the transformation of this fruit," the interviewee shared.
In addition, he said that tourists can prepare their own chocolate, as well as interact with producers, companies and taste the different chocolate proposals.
From the Tabasco Pavilion, they offer local cocoa products that visitors admire, taste and buy as part of the experience of having a little piece of this state and putting it in the eyes of the whole world.
