In order to continue to be one of the favorite destinations with the greatest presence of nature-loving tourists, Victor Chambor, representative of the group of residents of the Lacandon Jungle, informed that they will seek to continue connecting the destination with mainly northern states.

He expressed that by having several ecotourism centers in which you can go down rivers, hiking, walking in the jungle, night tours, as well as visiting the archaeological site of Bonampak, they will try to continue to capture the attention of travelers.

He expressed that thanks to the promotion made by the governor, Eduardo Ramirez Aguilar throughout the country, there has been an interest by travelers to visit the Lacandon Jungle.

He highlighted that the main international market interested in nature tourism is France and Spain, while for domestic tourists it is Mexico City, Monterrey and Tijuana.

He revealed that in this Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025, appointments have already been scheduled with around 20 tour operators in order to make alliances with the purpose of visiting the destination.

Victor Chambór stated that "the Lacandon Jungle is considered the second most important lung and climate regulator in the world".
