Campeche will highlight its attractions and strengthen alliances

April 29, 2025

As it is a binational event that shares Venue with the United States, the Tianguis Turístico 2025 becomes an opportunity for Campeche to position the destination with North American tourism.

Mauricio Arceo Piña, Campeche's Secretary of Tourism, commented in an exclusive interview with El Momento Yucatán that they will take advantage of the event to attract more tourists from the neighboring country.

"It is the first time that it is a binational tianguis, then the North American market, which is very important for the whole country, in Campeche has not arrived so much, so here we have the opportunity to look for different segments, different niches that we are not used to having in Campeche and that is something that is going to be a difference because of the location and being binational we hope that this will be a new opportunity for Campeche."

To this end, attractions such as the city of Campeche, the security of the state, the Mayan Train, the archaeological site of Calakmul, the beach area, among others, will be promoted.

Arceo Piña assured that the business sector of the municipality of Carmen has shown interest in attracting more tourism to the sun and beach destinations of the entity and these days of the Tianguis Turístico there is a good perspective because many appointments were scheduled to close deals on the matter.

"We have a great diversity of products to offer everyone."
