ACAPULCO - Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Tourism(SECTUR) announced that everything is ready for the start of the 48th edition of the most important tourism fair in Latin America: the Tianguis Turístico de México, to be held from April 8 to 12 in Acapulco, reborn and strengthened after the passage of Hurricane Otis.

According to information accessed by the Infoqroo agency, as of April 4, the participation of 1,337 buyers from 787 companies and the presence of 43 countries, including Mexico, had been confirmed. Also noteworthy is the presence of 1,441 exhibitors from 852 companies and 32 states.

As part of the organization of Tianguis Turístico México 2024, authorities from the three levels of government and representatives of the business sector held a working meeting to present the progress made in the areas of security, logistics and transportation.

Headed by Torruco Marqués; the Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, Santos Ramírez Cuevas, on behalf of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda; and the Mayor of Acapulco, Abelina López Rodríguez; the coordinated work to ensure that this event is carried out in an orderly manner, through prevention and established protocols, was highlighted.

EXPO MUNDO IMPERIAL

Likewise, the Organizing Committee toured the facilities of Expo Mundo Imperial, Venue of the event, where they supervised the work of assembling the stands and exhibitors' pavilions.

The program of the great tourism festival will include 97 pavilions, of which 65 are from corporations and 32 from the states of the country, there will also be areas for business appointments, master conferences, workshops, panels, gastronomy, craft exhibitions, and much more.

It is worth mentioning that this will be the fourth Inclusive Tourism Tianguis, whose purpose is to encourage, promote and raise awareness about the labor insertion of people with disabilities, in conjunction with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, businessmen, associations and federal entities.

During this 48th edition, the special edition of the National Lottery ticket will be launched, with themes alluding to tourist sites of the destination, for the rebirth of Acapulco.
