Miguel Torruco will leave a manual to ensure that Sectur's tianguis and events are inclusive
The priority of Miguel Torruco Marqués, Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, and of the current administration, is that all people be part of and included, which is why this 48th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México Acapulco 2024 is inclusive, being the fourth time. Marqués said that he will leave a manual with strategies and protocols for all national and international events of the SECTUR to be inclusive.
"As soon as there is a changeover, we will provide a manual so that the national tianguis, as well as those that are held as this 48th edition, such as the tianguis of magical towns and the international tianguis and all events held by Sectur, always include inclusion, society has to be inclusive so that no one is left out," he said.
He reiterated that in this way they will guarantee that every event held by Sectur will always be inclusive, to adapt society to the fact that it must be inclusive so that no one is left out.
In this sense, Gloria Torruco, honorary member of the inclusion committee of the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, celebrated this achievement, because it is the work of many people, where the will, passion, love, vision and will were present. "Mexico is for everyone", exclaimed the official.
"We started the first tourism tianguis in the city of Merida, Yucatan, and it was a success, we made the front pages of national and international press, since inclusion had never been seen in a tourism tianguis, from there, all the tianguis and Sector events began to be inclusive," he said.
He expressed that this is a sector that has the same rights as everyone else and that has been very forgotten, but today it is more present than ever, he explained that each year there are different themes, in this Tianguis Turístico it is Labor Inclusion.
Miguel Angel, a disabled athlete and tourism employee, expressed his gratitude and said he was very happy to be included in these events, where after demanding full inclusion, today they are on the right track.
"It is the right thing to do because that is where they look at us and that is where we can express our concerns, what we need, what we need as people," he said.
