Yucatecan seasoning travels the streets of Tijuana aboard the Yucatruck
The Gastronomic Federation of Yucatán has brought the traditional flavor of the state to the corners of Tijuana, as part of the activities prior to the Tianguis Turístico Nacional 2025, through a free tasting of cochinita pibil tacos.
Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, president of the Federation, shared in an interview that the response from tourists and locals has been very positive, highlighting the enthusiasm with which they have received the traditional Yucatecan recipe.
From the Yucatruck, Aguirre Aguilar informed that around 2,500 tacos have already been delivered, and that the goal is to reach 5,000 during the days of the Tianguis Turístico in Baja California.
He celebrated Yucatan's presence at events of this magnitude, as they represent a key opportunity to attract more visitors to the state, captivated by its rich gastronomy.
He also announced that his participation will continue with the signing of agreements with other allied states, with the objective of strengthening and promoting Yucatecan cuisine throughout the country.
