Day of celebration, opening of pavilions at the Tianguis Turístico México Acapulco 2024
In a colorful pavilion, Miguel Torruco Marqués, Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, accompanied by Evelyn Salgado Pineda, Governor of Guerrero, Mara Lezama, Governor of Quintana Roo, among other authorities from the three levels of government, cut the ribbon to inaugurate and open the tourism pavilions at Expo Mundo Imperial.
"Being in this last tianguis that we have to coordinate, the 48th edition, and I appreciate the accompaniment of my friend, the governor of the state of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado, we have always been working, at first it seemed impossible, but when there is participation, everything is possible. We do not bend to anything," said Miguel Torruco Marqués.
For her part, Evelyn Salgado Pineda, governor of Guerrero, also thanked Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, for joining in and making this event possible. She also applauded the willingness of all those who participated in making Tianguis Turístico 2024 happen.
"To thank enormously a man who has been a key piece for the organization of the tourist tianguis and this is his last tianguis and he has to say goodbye with honors, as what he is, and in gratitude to the people of Acapulco and the people of Guerrero he deserves all the applause in the world," he exclaimed.
He reiterated that Acapulco is rising from the ashes, like the phoenix, and that today it is shining and will shine even brighter, he stressed that Acapulco is strong, brave and colorful. He stressed that this Tianguis is the fourth to be inclusive and assured that in the coming years it will be the same, where all people are welcome.
