A heavy security operation has been deployed in Acapulco prior to the inauguration of the Tianguis Turístico at Expo Mundo Imperial, located in the Diamond Zone.

National Guard and Army personnel have been mobilized to guarantee security at the event, which will be attended by state and federal authorities.

Security agents are equipped with riot gear and have established a human fence around the event site. Security filters have also been installed at the La Venta and Metlapil Viaducto Diamante toll booths, as well as on Las Naciones Boulevard, where road dividers have been placed to control traffic in the area.

The Tianguis Turístico, the most important event of the tourism industry in Mexico, begins today in Acapulco, with the objective of overcoming the devastation caused by hurricane "Otis".
