"Welcome to Baja California".

The Tianguis Turístico Baja California 2025 officially kicked off with the Opening Ceremony at the Rosarito Beach Hotel as the Venue for the start of Mexico's most important tourism event.

The most relevant event of the tourism sector, in its 49th edition, was presided over by the Federal Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, accompanied by Marina del Pilar Olmeda, Governor of Baja California, as well as the distinguished presence of governors and the secretaries of tourism of the 32 states of the Mexican Republic.

"I have the privilege and great honor on behalf of the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to welcome you most cordially to the Tianguis Turístico México 2025, the first binational tianguis that we inaugurate today in this land where the homeland begins, the great state of Baja California."

In his welcome speech he highlighted that for the first time they took activities to the other side of the border, in San Diego, in order to bring their roots closer to the Mexican countrymen. He also announced that in this edition there will be 75 thousand business appointments, 44 countries will participate, and there will be a daily influx of 10 thousand people, in addition to an economic revenue of more than 1350 million pesos.

"Starting with this edition, the tianguis turístico will continue to become more and more international, giving the 32 entities of the country the opportunity to make themselves known".

The event will take place from April 28th to May 1st, with the main Venue being the Baja California Center located in the municipality of Rosarito.

It is worth mentioning that Baja California is positioned as the first northern state to organize this tourism event, in addition to being the first bi-national Tianguis Turístico in Mexico, with two venues, as was San Diego with "Ventana a México"(Window to Mexico).

Marina del Pilar, Governor of the State of Baja California, highlighted that the host state has a privileged geographical position, attracting more than 80 million tourists in the last year, in addition to positioning itself as a spearhead in medical tourism at the national level, but not only that, since it conquers its visitors with its desert and mountains, with its valley, where the best wines of Mexico are produced, besides being surrounded by two seas, which makes it a unique place.

"A year ago when we were in the wonderful municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero, they gave us the confidence to organize what is the largest tourism event in all of Latin America, our gratitude always to the Federal Government Secretariat and of course to the tourism secretariats of the 31 states that have closed ranks with us, thanks to all, today in Baja California we open our hearts to everyone," shared Marina del Pilar, Governor of Baja California, in her welcoming speech.

During the Tianguis Turístico 2025, Baja California will hand over the baton to Guerrero, the state that saw the birth of this tourism event, which has become itinerant in recent years.
